ReWilding Trauma: Supporting Rhythm, Safety, and Integration in the Nervous System
Guest: Jackie Flynn, EdS, LMHC-S, RPT-S™
On-Demand: This conversation was recorded on December 3rd, 2025. It will be available, on demand, one week after the live event
Ready to rediscover the roots of healing and reignite your clinical work with what nature has always known?
Join us for an inspiring new session of Clinical Conversations featuring internationally acclaimed EMDR and play therapy trainer Jackie Flynn. Together, we’ll explore how the rhythms, rituals, and relationships found in nature, and within us, can restore EMDR to its most powerful, organic origins.
What We'll Explore
In this lively, hands-on conversation, Jackie will guide us through:
- Why returning to EMDR’s roots in natural healing reawakens our innate drive toward wholeness
- How the Adaptive Information Processing model (AIP) and nature work together to foster integrative trauma recovery
- Practical techniques for using natural rhythms - movement, play, ritual, and sand play - in trauma therapy
- Creating spaces of embodied safety and co-regulation, even when traditional talk therapy isn’t enough
- ReWilding the therapy process: letting play, sensory connection, and the outdoors open “stuck” pathways
- Simple ways to honor the nervous system’s rhythms in all settings - outdoors, telehealth, or the office
- Real-world examples and grounding rituals you can use right away to support rhythm and integration
Bring your curiosity and questions. Leave inspired, resourced, and ready to reconnect your practice with the deep wisdom of the world outside (and within).
