Common Questions About TTI's Trauma Training
Do I need to be EMDR-trained to take these courses?+
No. TTI's trauma training courses are designed for any licensed mental health professional. Whether you practice psychodynamic therapy, CBT, IFS, somatic approaches, or integrative modalities, these courses give you additional evidence-based tools to support trauma-informed work with your clients.
What continuing education credits do these courses provide?+
Our trauma training courses carry ACE-approved (ASWB) continuing education credits for social workers and NBCC-approved credits for counselors. Specific CE counts are listed on each course page. Some courses carry credits from multiple approval bodies.
What therapeutic modalities are covered?+
Our trauma training library includes polyvagal theory, Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic approaches (including somatic experiencing), DBT, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), parts work, ego states integration, and foundational trauma-informed care frameworks. Use the Modality filter to browse by approach.
Who are these courses designed for?+
Licensed or license-eligible mental health professionals — LPCs, LCSWs, LMFTs, psychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners. Some courses are also open to graduate students in clinical training programs. Check individual course pages for specific prerequisites.
Are these courses live, self-paced, or both?+
Both. Most of our trauma trainings are fully on-demand so you can learn at your own pace. A few are offered as live cohorts with real-time instruction and peer practice. Each course page notes the delivery format and any upcoming live dates.
Can I stack multiple trauma trainings to build a specialized practice?+
Absolutely. Many of our trainings build on each other — you might start with foundational work in polyvagal theory or trauma-informed care, then specialize in dissociation, complex PTSD, addictions, or a specific population like couples. Use the Clinical Focus and Population filters to map out your learning pathway.
