TTI's Pedagogical Approach

Shame Free Spaces for Learning

Learning that honors humanity. Always.

Why This Exists

Built From What Was Missing

Rebecca Kase founded TTI in 2017 with one clear intention: to build a different kind of learning environment for therapists.
Her own training experiences, like many in this field, had moments of feeling shamed, belittled, and shut down. She knew the cost of that. Shame closes the nervous system. It shuts down curiosity, blocks integration, and turns growth into something therapists endure rather than something they grow from.
So she built TTI around a different model. A space where clinicians can ask questions, make mistakes, and talk about the real and vulnerable parts of trauma work without fear of judgment.
We call it Shame Free Spaces for Learning™. It's not a slogan. It's the foundation we build every training on.

The Practice

What Shame Free Looks Like in the Room

We can't promise the material we cover won't touch memory networks that carry shame. Trauma training often does. What we can promise is how we hold the space when it does.

Curiosity Over Correction

Mistakes get treated as part of the learning, not as failures to be flagged. Questions are welcomed at every level, from foundational to advanced.

Real Talk, Not Performative Theory

We teach the messy parts of trauma work, not just the textbook version. The interventions that backfired. The cases that humbled us. The moments that needed repair.

Lived Experience Welcomed

Your background, identity, and history are part of how you show up as a clinician. We design our spaces so your voice and lived experience matter, not as add-ons but as part of the learning itself.

Neuroscience-Backed, Not Neuroscience-Branded

We anchor our teaching in what the nervous system actually needs to integrate new material. That's not a marketing claim. It's how we structure cohorts, breaks, and the rhythm of every training day.

Our Commitment

Every Learner, Every Time

This isn't a values statement we update once a year. It's the working philosophy behind every course, every cohort, every consultation we offer. When you train with TTI, you can expect:
A space where curiosity is met with respect, not gatekeeping
Teaching that's grounded in clinical reality, not idealized theory
Mistakes treated as part of the process
A community that walks alongside you as you grow

Shame Free Spaces for Learning™ is a promise we uphold in every interaction. Not because it's marketable, but because it's how real learning sticks.
