About Your Trainer

Dana Carretta-Stein

Dana Carretta-Stein, LMHC, LPC, is the owner and founder of Peaceful Living Mental Health Counseling, a trauma-informed group practice, and creator of The EMDR Coach, a platform dedicated to educating clinicians and clients about EMDR therapy and nervous system regulation.

Dana is an EMDR therapist, nervous system specialist, and EMDRIA Approved Consultant whose work centers on how attachment patterns, family systems, generational trauma, and chronic stress shape nervous system functioning. She is known for her direct, structured teaching style and her ability to translate complex clinical concepts into frameworks therapists can actually use.

Her approach blends neuroscience, interpersonal neurobiology, and EMDR phase work into clear, practical training that prioritizes integration over intellectualization. Dana's The EMDR Coach community has grown to over 126,000 followers on Instagram, where she regularly teaches EMDR concepts to both clinicians and the public.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to construct an EMDR-informed biopsychosocial case conceptualization to guide treatment planning.
Participants will be able to translate client goals into data-informed SMART treatment objectives using standardized clinical assessments.
Participants will be able to identify appropriate EMDR processing approaches (EMD, EMDr, or EMDR) based on client readiness and treatment goals.
Participants will be able to assess client's nervous system activation and window of tolerance in order to adjust EMDR pacing and interventions during treatment.
Participants will be able to implement structured treatment plan reviews using assessment data to evaluate client progress and modify treatment goals when necessary.

2 CEs are available upon completion of all course material.

Trauma Therapist Institute is an approved continuing education provider. ACE, NBCC, and EMDRIA CEs are available for this course. APA CEs are not available for this course.

Participants must complete the full training to receive credit.

ACE Approved Provider

Trauma Therapist Institute, #1869, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 1/16/25 - 1/16/28. Social workers completing this course receive 2 clinical continuing education credits.

NBCC Approved Provider

Trauma Therapist Institute has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 7033. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Trauma Therapist Institute is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

EMDRIA Approved Provider

Trauma Therapist Institute is an EMDRIA Approved Training Provider. TTI courses are individually approved. CE Certificate will contain course approval number.

Course Completion

To receive a CE certificate, participants must complete the entire course, complete the post-test with a score of 80% or above, and complete the course evaluation. You may retake the post-test as needed. Once completed, a CE certificate will auto-populate to your online account.
