Polyvagal Informed EMDR Practitioner Program
Deepen Your EMDR Practice. Integrate the Science of Safety and the Wisdom of Polyvagal Theory
Trainer: Rebecca Kase
Live Virtual Training: February 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th | 10:00 am Central | Available for synchronous, live learning
On-Demand: Available one week after the live event
Every moment of healing begins with safety. When we listen to the body’s cues and respond with compassion, EMDR becomes more than a protocol; it becomes a pathway to regulation, connection, and wholeness.
This program helps you bring the nervous system fully into the room, blending the evidence-based precision of EMDR with the embodied wisdom of Polyvagal Theory so your clients can move from survival to safety, and from safety to true transformation.

Practical Interventions You’ll Learn
- Assess your client's autonomic state using physical, behavioral, and psychological markers
- Implement guided neuroception scans to identify safety and threat cues across internal, external, and relational domains
- Teach and monitor use of the vagal brake through neuro-informed interventions
- Use pendulation exercises to titrate activation
- Use micro-interventions for grounding and orientation throughout reprocessing phases
- Apply structured “Notice and Name” practice to increase interoceptive accuracy and tolerance for sensation
- Use anchoring statements and brief orientation cues to maintain dual awareness
- Deliver interweaves based on observed autonomic state and the client’s level of ventral access
- Employ working memory taxation interventions to move through over-activation or blocked processing
- Conduct real-time autonomic tracking during BLS sets
Why Polyvagal-Informed EMDR?
Clients don’t heal through logic alone. They heal when their nervous system feels safe enough to move beyond survival. Complex trauma, chronic dysregulation, stalled progress: even seasoned EMDR therapists face sessions where clients “hit a wall.”
The missing piece? Polyvagal-informed case conceptualization and intervention.
This program is for EMDR-trained clinicians ready to:
- Confidently assess and track nervous system states in-session
- Map and strengthen client safety through the “vagal brake”
- Expand EMDR’s 8 Phases with Polyvagal-informed interventions
- Modify protocols responsively, so clients aren’t flooded or “stuck”
- Gain science-backed, immediately applicable tools for EMDR reprocessing
